The clock is ticking on changes to the rules on labelling foods and ingredients which will come into force across the EU on 13th December 2014, with the implementation of the Food Information for Consumers (FIC) (1169/2011/EC).

Recent issues concerning contaminated foods have been given wide coverage in the world's press, which in turn has led the consumer to question the safety of both domestically produced and imported foodstuffs.
