The 7th International Congress on Pigments in Food: A summary

Dr Matteo Bordiga MIFST writes about the 7th International Congress on Pigments in Food

The 7th International Congress on Pigments in Food took place from the 18-21 June 2013 at the Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco of the Università del Piemonte Orientale "A. Avogadro", Novara, Piedmont (Italy). The Congress was organized by our research group (Food Chemistry, Biotechnology and Nutrition Unit, directed by Prof. Arlorio and Prof. Coϊsson) in cooperation with EuCheMS Food Chemistry Division and the Italian Chemical Society.
The most important aim of the Congress was to offer a possibility for meeting and discussion for scientists dealing with different aspects of food pigments, such as pigment chemists, food chemists, food technologists, agriculturists and nutritionists, but also industry people from all over the world.
